ABOUT
Nice to Meet You,
I'm Efrat Dagan
For more than 25 years, I have helped some of the world's most innovative technology companies build teams, scale organizations, and make better people decisions.
Workaround was built on a simple belief: organizations don't need a better hiring process. They need a better way to make decisions about people.

CAREER PATH
My story
For more than 25 years, I have been driven by one central question: How do organizations make better decisions about people?
My career began in recruiting and talent acquisition, but over the years I realized that hiring is about far more than filling roles. It sits at the intersection of leadership, business strategy, organizational design, and decision-making. Along the way, I had the opportunity to help build, scale, and transform some of the most innovative companies in technology.
At Google Israel, I was part of the team that built the recruiting function for the company's local engineering center. I later led recruiting across several Google sites in Europe. Following Google's acquisition of Waze, I led recruiting during a period of rapid growth and expansion. I subsequently relocated to Google's headquarters in California, where I managed recruiting for a global engineering organization.
Throughout my career, I have led international teams, designed talent and hiring strategies, built organizational processes and infrastructure, and partnered with leaders on complex people decisions in fast-changing business environments.
I later joined Lyft, where I led global recruiting for the autonomous vehicle division, and subsequently Next Insurance, where I was responsible for Global Talent Acquisition during a period of rapid growth and international expansion.
I founded Workaround based on a simple realization: hiring is much more than finding candidates. It is a system of decisions, planning, processes, data, and people.
Today, I work with CEOs, executive teams, HR leaders, Talent Acquisition organizations, and hiring managers to build stronger hiring systems, improve decision quality, and prepare for a world of work that is being reshaped by AI and constant change.
Organizations do not succeed or fail because of recruiting. They succeed or fail because of the quality of the decisions they make about people.
